Feeling your shooting skills drain through the quarantine? Introducing the Strikeman Laser Firearm Training System. This system provides a laser cartridge for your specific caliber, which when loaded will shoot a short laser burst every time you pull the trigger. This is coupled with an included target, to be used in conjunction with a downloadable phone app that keeps track of your shots and where they land on the target. The app keeps track of your scores and distances that you input before each session, and creates an intuitive graph based on your averages of the day at various distances shot in the past 14 days.
From the various calibers they offer, we chose the 9mm laser cartridge to test out. We found the laser cartridge to fit snug in the chamber of both our Sig Saur P226 and HK P2000. The cartridge has no rim on the rear, so even if you rack the slide, it wont eject. This is especially helpful on pistols like Glocks that have no hammer as well as rifles that require the bolt to cycle to reset the trigger. The laser hit exactly where our sights were aligned, and having fired it more than 1500 times so far, we are unsure of when it will run out of battery power. Also included is a very functional and extremely helpful tripod for setting up your phone. After starting the app, you want to position the phone between one and three feet from the supplied target. From there, focusing the camera on the target, it will begin to register the spots that the laser lands when fired from your firearm. The app has a selectable day and night mode to to cater to your light conditions, as they can affect the accuracy of the camera picking up the laser [though, we had no problems when using the proper settings]. The app accurately recorded where the laser landed on the target, and displayed them all as red dots on a picture of the target - all viewable after the “stop session” button is pressed. We’re unsure of the highest number of shots the app will track - we shot over 100 times in one round, and the app recorded every shot. The history tab shows you the average shot score as a graph, as well as some shooting metrics and target score distribution as a pi chart. It also allows you to see the target pictures of previous sessions and makes them available for download or sharing. There are also settings for gun shot audio and voice feedback, which provides the option to make a gunshot noise when the laser lands on the target and read aloud the score of that particular shot.
The Strikeman package is an awesome way to get some dry fire practice in while you’re stuck inside, be it quarantine or any other reason. It’s a very effective way to practice the fundamentals, as the system further enhances your ability to improve by showing you your mistakes. Be sure to check them out on their website at www.strikeman.io and their Instagram @strikemanco.

UPDATE: The team behind the Strikeman Laser Firearm System is also working hard on some future updates:
1. Multiple user profiles where you can compare scores with others or assign profiles to specific guns and bullet calibers.
2. Timed Sessions with a multiple-session mode so you don’t have to recalibrate the target.
3. New target technology with easier/faster target calibration.
4. Improved laser recognition.
5. In 2021, we will be launching a long distance rifle version with distance chipsets in the laser and target that tell the app exactly how far away you’re shooting from, without the need to enter the distance manually, with long distance reading on shooting accuracy.
6. We will also be launching a drone calibrated to the app, which holds a mounted target that you can shoot at with a laser specially designed for shotguns, rifles, and handguns. This will allow you to practice moving target shooting in your backyard without live rounds, and extremely accurate feedback for specific skills such as “leading” for bird hunters.
7. Lastly, we’re going to be launching a community social media technology into the app where you can fire against other users. There will be rankings and shooting competitions with financial rewards for highly skilled shooters.

Cross Industries 10/10 Mag

Californians, New Yorkers, Canadians, and all others affected by Communism, lend me your ears! Introducing the AR-15 Cross Mag 10/10 Coupling Magazine from Cross Industries - an extremely innovative take on the ten round magazine limit. Using a specially designed bottom plate, two of their ten round magazines can be easily coupled butt to butt, giving you two 10 round mags in the same size package as a standard 30 round magazine. This effectively doubles the number of bullets per magazine, giving you a more respectable 20 rounds rather than a measly 10. Granted, the magazines are attached together, necessitating a reload after shooting 10 rounds from one; however, the design is extremely sturdy and a lot less messy than taping two magazines together.
The baseplates can also be removed and flipped 180 degrees, meaning you can connect two magazines by up to four different configurations, based on preference. The coupling requires no tools - you simply twist two baseplates together, giving a satisfying click when they are locked into place. They require a fair bit of force to separate, meaning they won’t detach when you’re running and gunning. They are made of an extremely durable polymer, and have withstood being dropped, and tolerated a realistic amount of abuse during testing. We have had zero misfeeds or other malfunctions during our testing, and have also found the magazine to seat securely in the magwell, in addition to it sliding in and out with ease. If we had to be nit-picky and find something to complain about, we’d say the area where the two mags connect is a bit wider than the rest of the magazine. Because it is in the middle of the completed magazine, it can get hung up on your mag pouch if you do not pull it out properly. Having said that, it is beveled to the point that this is rarely a problem.
The AR-15 Cross Mag 10/10 Coupling Magazine is a must have for anyone living in an area afflicted with a 10 round magazine limit. Be sure to find them on Instagram @crossindustries, and you can find their product on their website as well as many of the big gun websites, such as Brownell’s here. Get yourself a couple today - you won’t regret it!

SnaptechUSA Wristmag

🔥 Reloading reinvented. 🔥
Introducing the extremely innovative Wristmag from @snaptechusa. A quick-snap tactical bracelet that allows you to triple your ammo capacity in less than one second, and makes reloading arguably faster and more intuitive than conventional magazine pouches.

Once we started practicing with it, we noticed the Wristmag did take a few tries to get comfortable with. However, after getting the hang of it, it was undoubtedly extremely easy and quick to use and apply. Its low profile means it will not obstruct the handling of your pistol, and the solid metal snap cuff paired with high-grade Velcro means its not going anywhere once on your wrist. The entire backside of the device is laid with soft Velcro as well, meaning it won’t tear into your arm after hours of use. The perfectly placed elastic straps allow for easy access to your magazines for a quick reload, and the neoprene patch located under each strap provides just enough friction to prevent the mag from falling out, but still allow for an easy extraction. We found our favorite combo for the two straps was a magazine and folding knife, but the possible combinations are only limited by your creativity. We ran it through its paces and found that running, jumping, and crawling with it attached did not compromise its grip on neither your wrist nor the magazines, a necessity for a high stress scenario.

Overall we highly recommend the Wristmag by @snaptechusa. This has to be one of the most innovative inventions to the gun industry we’ve seen for quite some time. Its simple design is so well executed and machined in the USA, we can’t help but love it. Be sure to check out @snaptechusa and pick one up for yourself to see what you’ve been missing. 3V Gear Paratus BackPack

Check out the link here to get your hands on one of these @3vgear Paratus backpacks!

Being prepared, there’s no better feeling. @3vgear has you covered with their Paratus 3 day operator pack, designed to give you the versatility to be ready for all that life throws at you. Measuring in at just shy of 2500 cubic inches, this bag provides plenty of room for all your supplies whether they’re medical, camping, range day, or bug out oriented.
The Paratus has one main compartment and one smaller one in front, the larger being 20” high and 1320 cubic inches, and containing a sleeve bisecting it allowing a water bladder to fit snugly, as well as a hole in the top designed for the hose to exit. The front pouch is about 2/3 as deep as the larger one, but still very roomy. The self-healing zippers used are solid quality and not prone to zipping incorrectly like some others. Compression straps line the top and sides to ensure everything stays in place.  Tie offs are also located at the bottom and provide sufficient room to tie a sleeping mat. The bag is made of a lighter material than some of its competitors, but is still extremely durable while being even more lightweight.
There are 3 detachable pouches, 2 on the sides and one on the front all held in place by military grade MOLLE webbing which lines the whole pack; allowing for modularity in their placement as well as anything else you might want to add. The front pouch is a pack in and of itself, perfect for a short trip, as it has its own shoulder/waist strap for easy carry and its ample size and pockets make it ideal for storing items necessary for a short outing from camp.
Wearing the pack was extremely comfortable and one of its best features. The EVA molded foam backing is comfortable and its patterned texture allows for airflow. Its shoulder straps are contoured for comfort, and its sternum strap is elastic for added comfort. The waist strap locks it all in place, and was not in the way when not being used.
At $75 we found this pack to be a steal, especially when compared to some of its $150-$200 competition. It provides the same if not better features for a fraction of the price. We highly recommend this pack, and will be using it for our own bug out bag for the foreseeable future.

💥Use the code “led10” for 10% off!💥
A while ago, @barrelandbladetacticalsent us their level 2 box for the month of April, and we were stoked before we even opened it. They provide monthly tactical boxes to your door filled with gear based on their motto “If we won’t use it - we won’t send it” This box was worth well over the $173 worth of gear they included.
Of the items contained was a Hazard 4 Badger, a small badge/card holder perfect for use as a tactical wallet for on the move situations. It is MOLLE compatible, and has a large Velcro patch on the back perfect for attaching your favorite morale patches.
The box also contained a Drago Double Pistol Pouch. Its small size makes it convenient for travel, yet it is still spacious enough to easily fit two handguns, some magazines and a few boxes of ammo. It’s also a convenient bag for storage in general, and is much better quality than most other bags of its size.
Of course, we’ve saved our two favorite items for last: a Kershaw Link Gray Blackwash knife and an Olight PL-Mini light.
The knife is excellent quality, sharp, and its 420HC steel takes an excellent edge and is easy to resharpen. The BlackWash finish is really badass and gives it a unique character and corrosion resistance. Its SpringSafe assisted opening is quick and solid feeling.
The flashlight is compact, and its 400 lumens are extremely bright. Its activation switch is similar to the mag release on an HK pistol, and it is extremely tactile and easy to activate. It has a quick detatch lever for a picatinny rail, and a unique magnetic charging base that plugs into any USB outlet.
The high visiblility targets were also a nice touch, and will come in handy when we’re out on the range.
Overall we loved everything in this box, and at $100 it is a steal, be sure to check out @barrelandbladetactical for your monthly tactical bundles delivered right to your door!

Evoke tactical aegis backpack

💥Use promo code Mdw25 for 25% off packs!💥 Link in our bio!
Versatility. The people at @evoketactical (https://evokeus.com/) know the true definition of the term, and have incorporated it into their exceptionally innovative backpack.
Recently we were sent the Aegis tactical pack system, a larger backpack designed around a combat medic’s requirements. Further inspection reveals its strengths also lie outside of combat. Its patented Butterfly and Clam-shell design allow for easy access and a greater surface area for storage, given the copious amount of pockets and compartments that have been fitted into the pack. On the outside are four separate zipper pockets, all of which butterfly outwards to allow access to ten more durable transparent pockets. The outer pockets remain accessible even when the pack is opened, as there are zippers on both the inside and out which allow access.
The main compartment utilizes a clamshell design, as it can be unzipped to open completely flat. Inside this compartment are zipper compartments, a laptop sleeve and two satchels, each anchored in place with Velcro and easy to collapse in size due to their adjustable walls, yet also removable should the situation call for it.
The back of the pack is memory foam padded, breathable, and extremely comfortable. A removable waist strap adds usability, and a sleeve for a water bladder is inconspicuously added and acts as further padding when in place and full.
Two more pockets allow more usability, the pocket on top housing a weather poof poncho for the pack, as well as a strap for securing the barrel of a rifle. The bottom pouch houses straps for carrying a sleeping bag or shooters mat, and includes an extender pouch for holding the butt of a rifle.
We took this pack through its paces and found it to be rugged, reliable, easy to use and extremely comfortable. Its 600D+ ballistic nylon, water resistant zippers, and water proof liner keep contents dry. The included 2 liter hydration bladder kept our water fresh and easy to access. Overall we are extremely satisfied with the build quality and usability, and highly recommend it for any activity.

🔥The Thursday Review: 🔥
The CRKT Dragon.
We’re going to try out a new idea: find a product on Amazon, buy it, review it, show it to you guys. If you like this format, we’ll keep it up! Alright, here it goes:
-
With its 4.5” full tang tapered tip blade, look no further for the perfect self-defense/hunting/EDC knife. Designed by the legendary Bob Kasper after 10 years of studying extreme in-close fighting, the Dragon is designed to become a seamless extension of your hand. Its 9Cr18MoV high chromium stainless steel allows for easy sharpening and high cutting edge retention. The G10 scales, grooves and finger cutouts keep the Dragon in your hand even when gloved or in wet conditions. The pointed metal pommel is effective at window breaking, and with a center of mass at the palm it makes the knife feel smaller than it actually is. Not only is it lightweight, the Kydex sheath it comes with is durable and is easy to mount vertically or horizontally, or with a bit of paracord can be outfitted for shoulder-holstering. Overall this is a competent knife for any task, and at a little under $30 is frankly a steal! Check it out on Amazon below or in the link in our bio!

Check out the latest product from @holdurfiresystem! Save 23% when you use the code FIVEOFF at checkout! Read the review below. https://www.holdurfire.com/
Need a better way to store your firearms? Hold UR Fire has recently sent us their latest product, which allows you to store up to ten firearms in one cubic foot of space. Exact dimensions measure in at 11” wide x 10.5” high x 12” deep. It fits most semi-automatics and revolvers and the included panels can be hung on the wall or door of your safe with the proper equipment. Magazine cuffs allowing for the storage of magazines are also available to add a little more functionality to the panels. In most of the US just grab a panel, toss it in a bag and head out to the range, no fussing with finding cases.
In our time using it, we found that the easy to slide panels allow for quick access to your pistols and their adjustable Velcro straps keep your firearms securely in place. Set up was not very difficult, the “hardest” part being the threading of the straps through the perfectly placed slits. The base and boards are both made of plastic, but feel and proved to be extremely thick, study, and durable. We did conduct some shake tests to see how well the Velcro straps would hold up, and they did their job perfectly, locking the guns in their place and budging no more than expected. We also were able to fit pistols ranging in size from the Desert Eagle to the M&P Shield without a problem. Two regular sized pistols fit comfortably on each panel and detaching them was quick and simple.
Overall we recommend Hold UR Fire’s latest innovation in firearm storage! Keep up the good work brothers!

Perspective Targets

Need to take your training to the next level? @perspectivetargets have sent us some of their new targets, and we were definitely blown away.
The two flavors they sent us were a standard one man silhouette and their special three man silhouette target. While the former is similar to most other silhouette targets, these incorporate a few unique aspects. On the top right are the four tenants of firearm safety, and under it is a vertical Marksmanship Drill, which challenges you to shoot each increasingly small dot a specified number of times. Left of the silhouette’s shoulder is a horizontal series of dots titled the Rapid Fire Drill tasking you with shooting each dot more rapidly than the last. On all of the silhouette’s there is an upside down triangle, an integral part of their Thoracic Triangle Concept Training. Though an effective training method and not a major issue, after a little research we believe the triangle is flipped the wrong direction, the point should be facing up rather than down.
The other target type we received pictured three silhouettes, each varying sizes meant to represent increasing distances. Of the two targets, these were definitely the favorite. Everyone on the team loved the concept and execution, it allows for a simulated distance that could not be otherwise achieved at an indoor range.
Overall we fell in love with these targets and can’t recommend them enough. Their innovative design makes them a must have in any training regimen.
