Being prepared, there’s no better feeling. @3vgear has you covered with their Paratus 3 day operator pack, designed to give you the versatility to be ready for all that life throws at you. Measuring in at just shy of 2500 cubic inches, this bag provides plenty of room for all your supplies whether they’re medical, camping, range day, or bug out oriented. The Paratus has one main compartment and one smaller one in front, the larger being 20” high and 1320 cubic inches, and containing a sleeve bisecting it allowing a water bladder to fit snugly, as well as a hole in the top designed for the hose to exit. The front pouch is about 2/3 as deep as the larger one, but still very roomy. The self-healing zippers used are solid quality and not prone to zipping incorrectly like some others. Compression straps line the top and sides to ensure everything stays in place. Tie offs are also located at the bottom and provide sufficient room to tie a sleeping mat. The bag is made of a lighter material than some of its competitors, but is still extremely durable while being even more lightweight. There are 3 detachable pouches, 2 on the sides and one on the front all held in place by military grade MOLLE webbing which lines the whole pack; allowing for modularity in their placement as well as anything else you might want to add. The front pouch is a pack in and of itself, perfect for a short trip, as it has its own shoulder/waist strap for easy carry and its ample size and pockets make it ideal for storing items necessary for a short outing from camp. Wearing the pack was extremely comfortable and one of its best features. The EVA molded foam backing is comfortable and its patterned texture allows for airflow. Its shoulder straps are contoured for comfort, and its sternum strap is elastic for added comfort. The waist strap locks it all in place, and was not in the way when not being used. At $75 we found this pack to be a steal, especially when compared to some of its $150-$200 competition. It provides the same if not better features for a fraction of the price. We highly recommend this pack, and will be using it for our own bug out bag for the foreseeable future.
